Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) is a national body set up by an Act of Parliament of the Republic of Ghana to co-ordinate and oversee all aspects of technical and vocational education and training within the country.
The major objective of COTVET to formulate policies for skills development across the broad spectrum of pre-tertiary and tertiary education, formal, informal and non-formal sectors.

COTVET is in the process of establishing Ghana’s Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system to improve the productivity and competitiveness of the skilled workforce and raise the income generating capacities of people, especially women and low income groups through provision of quality-oriented, industry-focused and competency-based training programmes and complementary services.

Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) is a technical training institute situated in Eldoret Kenya. The institution is an East Africa Community centre of excellence in TVET and also a UNEVOC network member. Currently the student population stands at over five thousand with nine major departments and several support departments. It is an ISO certified institution drawing students from across the east African nations.

Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training of the Ministry of education, Republic of Botswana is a body charged with the Planning, managing and implementing government policies on Technical and Vocational Education and Training including curriculum development, delivery and evaluation. The department is responsible for the development and delivery of full time college based programmes as well as for theory based blocks for apprenticeship training.
